adding ROI inside a code

Hi,
I am working on a image processing project, in that i want to perform analysis from the foreground only, i have a code, so now i want to insert the ROI function to tell the matlab to use only the foreground image without using background. I can do that function separately, but cannot add inside the code... I need help to attach the ROI function inside the code so that final output window will have only the forground image without involving background. I am attaching my code here. Kindly suggest some ways.

Didn't we already do this? I remember finding the white background for this same image sometime before today.
I am trying different things for this project.. the previous ones we tried I was working on my rgb image. Here this code I got from previous projects and I tried to incoporated some lines... so they worked with matrix arrays and finally converted back to displayable form... as usual the code here also calculate including background..I tried ROI freehand didnot work here.. so I wanted your help ....
@ImageAnalyst, I tried my ROI to insert inside this code, but not working, coud you help with that i cannot really insert the ROI with the code ..
