How to plot two complicated functions

1 次查看(过去 30 天)
I have two complicated functions y^7-y^3-sin(x)+a*sqrt(x)=0 and e^(-x)+b*cos(y)-c*x^2+y^2=0 where a, b,c are given by 4, 3, 2. I have to plot them in the same set of axis. I can not write then as the explicit functions y=f(x) and y=g(x) (or x=F(y) and x=G(y)). Therefore, it is very difficult to plot them. I would like to request you to give me any direction to plot the equations.
Thanking you.

You can use roots function to find the solutions of your equations, for example: for x=1
v=[1 0 0 0 -1 0 sin(x)+2*sqrt(x)]
y=roots(v)
For the second equation you can use fsolve

Is there any other direct plot process. I have seen ezplot but don't know how to use it here.

a=1;
yourfun=@(x,y) y^7-y^3-sin(x)+a*sqrt(x)
ezplot(yourfun)
