How do i copy a file to multiple directories based on a variable

for example.
I make multiple folders using a loop
nModels = 32;
for i = 1:nModels
mkdir (['core',int2str(i)]);
end
THEN i want to copy an application into each of these folders
for i = 1:nModels
copyfile MARCO64_500.exe 'core',int2str(i);
end
But this does not work.
