Which toolboxes are needed for object detection from video over MATLAB 2009 platform?

I am making the code for the object detection from video over the MATLAB2009 platform. Which toolboxes I will need for the same? Is it necessary to use Simulink?

You may want to look at:
http://www.mathworks.com/products/computer-vision/index.html (this is not available for 2009 though)
http://www.mathworks.com/products/image/
http://www.mathworks.com/products/imaq/
I'm guessing simulink isn't a necessity.

Thanks for response... Is it necessary to use Mapping toolbox along with the toolboxes you mentioned? and if necessary then for which purpose it is most useful?

I've been working on Image analysis using Matlab for quite a while prior to the introduction of the Mapping toolbox. Unless your application deals with geographic data and maps, I wouldn't think that it's necessary.
