Our PC is connected to networks A and B via a motherboard ethernet connection and a 2nd nic card connection respectively.
Using wireshark, we can see that MATLAB is making SSDP requests on network B where we require very low latency network traffic. We' like to see no traffic on this network other than our tactical messages. How do we preclude MATLAB from using this network as a place to search for services? Neither network has access to the internet so MATLAB is not going to find anything its is broadcast searches. So if we could tell MATLAB to simply be quiet, that would be best.
Please note that I am not an IT guy or an admin of any type. I'm just the analyst who is watching the traffic on wireshark.

I don't remember if it has always been there, but now there appears to be a 'contact us' button at the bottom of the page, under 'about MathWorks'.

Rik — It apparently moved from the icon in the upper right to the menu item in the lower right (that I didn’t see previously, so I thought it had just disappeared).

Just a guess, but you might try going into Preferences>>General and unchecking the option to send telemetry info back to MathWorks,

It might be worth reinstalling Matlab 2017a, but make sure to tell the Install Wizard that you don't want to send information back to Mathworks.
