Hi all, hope you are doing well.
Recently I downloded installer of MATLAB and I came to know that there are tons of Mathsworks products.
I am a undergraduate student in Mechanical Engineering. I had installed MATLAB for designing and simulation of All Terrain Vehicle (ATV) and I want to know which products I need to download in my computer for doing my work. Please let me know.
Thank you. Have a great day ahead.

The good thing is you don't have to decide right now. You can use the Add Ons Explorer to add additional toolboxes as the need arises.
For getting started, you might consider just adding what is on the student suite.
As for what products you may eventually need, you can see a list of which products we make available to students competing in the Baja SAEIndia competition here (under Request Software).

I didn't know what to install either so I just left the ticks at MatLab and Simulink. This might've been the the source of my problem where I couldn't make MatLab read the .tif pictures, it said there are no such pictures. I installed all of the products listed above in the correct answer, and now it works, the .tif pictures are readable again. Thank you for the answer.

imread() is part of basic MATLAB -- but geotiffread() requires the Mapping Toolbox.

You can add new toolboxes after installation, either using the regular installer, or using Add Ons Explorer.
You will need to be licensed for the additional tools before you install them.
