Can somebody give me an example on how to use voronoi(AX,...)

voronoi(AX,...) plots into AX instead of gca. For some reason i can't get this function to work. can somebody give me an example on how to use this?

AX1 = axes('position',[0.1 0.1 0.8 0.4]);
AX2 = axes('position',[0.1 0.6 0.8 0.4]);
x = gallery('uniformdata',[1 10],0);
y = gallery('uniformdata',[1 10],1);
voronoi(AX1,x,y,'r')
voronoi(AX2,x,y,'g')
