3-D-plot doesn't look like on Wolfram Alpha

I'm confused. By typing:
[x,y] = meshgrid(-2:0.2:2)
z = sin(x)./(y.^2+1)
surf(x,y,z)
I receive a totally different plot.

It looks the same to me as long as you enter
plot sin(x)/(y^2+1) from x=-2 to 2 and y=-2 to 2
into Wolfram Alpha

See this documentation page for more information about the difference between the / and ./ operators.
