asking for avi name - movie2avi

Hi, im making avi file using getframe and movie2avi. Is there a way to display window that will ask for a name of avi file? Something like:
filename = input('Name of avi file:', 's');
movie2avi(handles.F, 'filename.avi','fps',2);
But this is not working and its asking in comand window not in a new window. Thx.

I suggest you take a look at http://www.mathworks.nl/help/matlab/ref/uicontrol.html. You are looking for a editbox as style option.

Nono, i wanted something different. what i want is that when user press certain button in gui, new window will show where user will type name of avi file and then the avi file will be saved...
