plot & errorbar: does exist a function that plot many series of data with error bars?

I know that with plot I can "draw" different series of data plot(X,Y,...,Xn,Yn); and with errorbar I can put error bars on a single serie of data errorbar(X,Y,errors); but how I can put error bars on many series of data?

The simplest way is probably
plot(X1,Y1);
errorbar(X1,Y1,errors1);
plot(X2,Y2);
errorbar(X2,Y2,errors2);
...
plot(Xn,Yn);
errorbar(Xn,Yn,errorsn);

in this way:
figure
plot(X1,Y1);
errorbar(X1,Y1,errors1);
plot(X2,Y2);
errorbar(X2,Y2,errors2);
hold on
it doesn't work...
