Extending a 2D lattice of points

10 次查看(过去 30 天)
I have a hexagonal grid of points derived from measurement (see figure). I'd like to be able to extrapolate beyond the plotted area and extend the lattice to the surrounding area. The lattice points are not in a mathematically perfect arrangement, so there needs to be some robustness to noise.
Does anyone know of any ways to achieve this? Thanks.

It might help if you posted the code that generated the plot.

Hi Scott, the plot is derived from simple centroid fitting of image data, so represents a physical pattern that's been measured (rather than code-generated).

You can use scatteredInterpolant() or griddata().
