Contour map of ocean current on transect

I have data for the North-South-Current (vcur, 458x21) and for the East-West-Current (ucur, 458x21) with each column corresponding to one position (Longitude, Lattitude). Now I want to make a contourf-plot with the depth (z, 458x21) on the y-axis and the longitude (lon, 1x21) on the x-axis, with the colour corresponding to the direction of current. I'm very new to matlab and would appreciate any help, to link all the variables in one plot.

You have vectors in hand....you can have quiver plot using:
quiver(ucur,vcur)
If you have lon and lat values use:
quiver(lon,lat,ucur,vcur)
If you want a contour plot.
figure
contour(ucur) % contour of u-component
figure
contourf(ucur)
figure
pcolor(ucur)
You can associate lon, lat in the above.

Is there a way to display both contours of ucur,vcur in one plot associated with the depth and the Longitude?
