Unless something has changed in the newest version of MATLAB, isequal doesn't work with NaNs.

I think test suite should use assert(isequalwithequalnans(y,y_correct))

isequal(NaN,NaN)
ans = 0

isequaln(NaN,NaN)
ans = 1
