Consider following transaction dataset;
We can transform this dataset to a binary format and then create co-occurence matrix as follow;
Co-occurence matrix shows how many times product pairs are bought together in market baskets (transactions). For example apple and tea bought together in two market baskets, milk and lemon never bought together and so on. It is a symmetric matrix.
