How to create a poll:
You can find the ‘Create a Poll’ link just below the text box (see screenshot below). Please note that the default type of content is a ‘Discussion’. To start a poll, simply click the link.
Creating a poll is straightforward. You can add up to 6 choices for your poll and set the duration from 1 to 6 weeks.
Where to find the poll
Polls created by community members will appear only in the channel where they are created and the landing page of Discussions area. Discussions moderators have the privilege to feature/broadcast the poll across Answers, File Exchange, and Cody.

Previously, the right-hand column displayed related content, but feedback from our community indicated that this wasn't meeting your needs. Many of you expressed a desire to read more posts from the same author but found it challenging to locate them.
With the new design, readers can easily learn more about the author, explore their other posts, and follow them to receive notifications on new content.
  • Enhance Authors’ Experience:
Since the launch of the Discussions area earlier this year, we've seen an influx of community members sharing insightful technical articles, use cases, and ideas. The new design aims to help you grow your followers and organize your content more effectively by editing tags. We highly encourage you to use the Discussions area as your community blogging platform.

We are excited to invite you to join our 2024 community contest – MATLAB Shorts Mini Hack! Last year, we challenged you to create a 48-frame animation. In 2024, we are increasing the frame count to 96 and supporting audio. Your mission? Create a short movie!

We're thrilled to share an exciting update with our community: the 'Run Code' feature is now available in the Discussions area!
Simply insert your code into the editor and press the green triangle button to run it. Your code will execute using the latest MATLAB R24a version, and it supports most common toolboxes. Moreover, this innovative feature allows for the running of attached files, further enhancing its utility and flexibility.
The ‘run code’ feature was first introduced in MATLAB Answers. Encouraged by the positive feedback and at the request of our community members, we are now expanding the availability of this feature to more areas within our community.

Our community is so lucky to have many experienced MATLAB experts who generously share their knowledge and insights across different applications, including Answers, File Exchange, Discussions, Contests, or Blogs.
With the introduction of User Following feature, you can now easily track new content across different areas and engage in discussions with people you follow. Simply click the ‘Follow’ button located on their profile page to start.
Depending on your communication setting, you will receive notifications via email and/or view updates in your ‘Followed Activity’ feeds. To tailor your feed, select the ‘People’ filter and focus on activities from those you follow.
We strongly encourage you to take advantage of the User Following feature to foster learning and collaboration within our vibrant community.

The File Exchange team is thrilled to introduce a more streamlined approach to working with GitHub and File Exchange - the MATLAB and Simulink Integration for GitHub!
Key Enhancements:
- Improves the existing connection between File Exchange and GitHub, ensuring quicker reflection of changes made in GitHub within File Exchange.
- Aligns with GitHub's standard and supported approach to building integrations.
Action Required for File Exchange Contributors!
If you are a File Exchange contributor and have linked any submissions to GitHub, it is essential to install the App.
Starting April 16, 2024, your File Exchange submissions will no longer update automatically unless you take the following steps:
1. Visit your My File Exchange page.
2. Follow the prompts on the page to install MATLAB and Simulink Integration for GitHub.
3. Complete the necessary steps in GitHub.
4. Return to the My File Exchange page and verify the installation.
A detailed description of the process is available here.
If you prefer your File Exchange submission not to update automatically from GitHub, no action is required. Users will still be able to find and download your submissions. However, to release a new version of your code, you must either install the GitHub App or disconnect from GitHub and manually upload new versions of your code.

I recently discovered a 2-minute video that introduces MatGPT, and I believe it's a resource worth sharing. The creator highlights MatGPT's impressive capabilities by demonstrating how it tackles the classic Travelling Salesman Problem.
With more than 13,000 downloads on File Exchange, MatGPT is gaining traction among users. I strongly recommend taking it for a spin to experience its potential firsthand.
We are excited to unveil the ‘Open in MATLAB Online from File Exchange’ feature, which offers MATLAB users a new way to open File Exchange content!
Previously, to experiment with File Exchange code, you were required to download the file and execute it in MATLAB. But now, there's a quicker and easier way to explore the code!
You will find the ‘Open in MATLAB Online’ button next to the ‘Download’ button (see the screenshot below). A simple click transports you directly into the MATLAB Online workflow. It's that straightforward and effortless.
