Sun Path Chart

The importance of light in architecture can not be overstated. Understanding the impact of natural light on architectural space is essential for architects. This understanding includes knowledge of the sun and its position relative to a geographic location. [1]

Solar azimuth angle: the horizontal angle between south and the position of the sun.

Solar altitude angle: the vertical angle between the horizon and the position of the sun.

Zenith angle: (theta sub z) the angle between vertical and the position of the sun. [2]

Simulation

Tools:

1. MATLAB : Matlab used to run code ( .m files ).
2. 7zip : 7zip used to unzip commpred files.
3. NotePad : Notepade used to see references.

You can set your own Latitude and Longitude in "main.m" file under ( % define location ) comment.

How to Run:

1. Download Project from Git.
2. Unzip files.
3. Add folder to the Matlab Path.
4. Run main.m
