The Chemical Reactor Design Toolbox is a new custom Simscape library introducing several domains reflecting individual phases (gas, liquid, isothermal liquid, solid, interface). The fundamental components are basic blocks representing either a balancing control volume, a physical transport process (mass, heat and momentum), a source/sink due to a chemical reaction or a thermodynamic phase equilibrium.
An ideal multicomponent mixture of an arbitrary number of individual species in each phase is considered. By combining several basic blocks into subsystems composite blocks can be defined. Iteratively applied, hierarchical multi-scale models can be created from scratch without the need of writing a single line of code (no-code programming).
The available release is a limited version of the actual library. Only an isothermal liquid phase is considered.
