This function will return the indices of a vector that are closest to the numbers in another.

Program can use the last, next, or closest value. Assumes that the lookup values are already sorted.

Written in c, so the operation is fast. Type "mex lookup.c" in matlab before use.

You might need a free compiler if it was not installed with your matlab:
