Local shape outline orientation descriptor
Provides measurements and visualizations of the local orientation along shape outlines.
This function provides a numerical measurement of the local orientation along the handwriting outline and visualizations thereof. Generated files include frequency counts of the orientation profile, its probability density function (pdf), statistics of the profiles, the colorcoded handwriting samples, frequency and pdf graphs, statistics and visualizations of the analyzed image set. Possible applications are as shape descriptor or handwriting analysis.
