fixticks is a function to correct that MATLAB as a default does not show the same significant digits on axes as trailing zeros after the decimal point are not displayed.
Fixticks automates the number of decimals to the highest number of decimals displayed on the axis.
Some of the functionality can be obtained using xtickformat but that requires a manual input and will not change the format on zooming.
