The TPMS Scaffold GUI is an app developed for deriving 3D, printable solid from two Triply Periodic Minimal Surfaces (TPMS). The GUI was developed for obtaining biomimetic structures for biomedical applications, but these structure can be of interest for mechanical and thermal applications.
The TPMS Scaffold GUI can work in cartesian and cylindrical reference frame. By adjusting the spatial periods (along x, y and z, or along r, z and the angle of rotation), the GUI can derive a ".stl" file, with specified resolution, for ten different TPMS equations. The app allows to save the results and to visualize the structure on a dedicated plot.
The app was described and used in the following scientific work
