I'm a physical oceanographer, driven to improve our understanding of climate change effects in the ocean. My research is largely focused on how the changing Southern Ocean eventually impacts the global thermohaline circulation as well as the stabilizing ice shelves that surround the Antarctic Ice Sheet. One of my current goals is to go beyond traditional observational efforts and to contribute to efficient navigation of autonomous instruments under ice.

Ali mohammadzadeh was born in 1985 in Iran. He received his Bachelor's and Master of Computer Software Engineering from Islamic Azad University, Shabestar branch, Iran, in 2008 and 2012, respectively. His Ph.D. is in the field of Metaheuristic Algorithms from the Islamic Azad University, Urmia branch, Iran. Since 2010, he worked as a faculty member of Islamic Azad University, Iran. Presently he is an Instructor in the Department of Computer Engineering at IAU.
