Dr. David Boas received his PhD in Physics at the University of Pennsylvania. He is a Professor of Radiology at Harvard Medical School, directing the Optics Division of the Martinos Center at Massachusetts General Hospital. His research focus is in the neurosciences studying the physiology and pathophysiology of the brain using novel optics methods.

I am an entrepreneurial, innovative, self-taught, and multidisciplinary professional, I have participated in undertakings, research processes, and engineering projects. I consider myself proactive, resourceful, analytical, honest, tolerant, respectful, solving and highly responsible, I also point out that I have experience working as a team and leading groups with positions that demand responsibility in the development of research projects, prototype development, humanitarian programs, corporate plans. and organization of both community and educational events. Currently, I am developing a doctoral project, in the doctorate in health sciences at the Antonio Nariño University, related to the design of control algorithms for their implementation in Artificial Endocrine Pancreas systems.

I am now an Associate Professor at the School of Electrical Sciences, Indian Institute of Technology Goa (IIT Goa), India. I received the B.Tech. (Hons) degree in Electrical Engineering (EE) in 2006 from the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Rourkela, India, and a Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) in 2014 from the Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. From 2006 to 2007, I was a Software Engineer at Sasken Communication Technologies Ltd., Bangalore, India. From 2012 to 2016, I was a Researcher at NTU, Singapore. From 2016 to 2018, I was a Research Fellow at the National University of Singapore (NUS), Singapore. My research interests include Signal Processing, Sparse Representation, Compressed Sensing, Inverse Problems, and Computational Imaging. I am a fellow of IETE (FIETE), and a Senior Member of IEEE (SMIEEE).
