My name is Jackson Merkl and I am a Sophomore Aerospace Engineer at the Georgia Institute of Technology. I have a very strong interest in the process of vehicle design and simulation and am very passionate about learning and using different skills to create something new and unique. More importantly, I enjoy using my knowledge of how things work to create programs that make difficult tasks more accessible and convenient to those that need to complete them. I am currently involved in different organizations ranging from solar racing teams to graduate missile design competitions to cultural organizations and love getting the opportunity to apply this knowledge as well as the chance to learn from others in different fields as well. I got my PhD and MTech degree in 2017 and 2006 from VSSUT Burla (UCE Burla) one of the oldest engineering colleges in India. With this, I was involved in full time teaching from 2006 till date in reputed universities and engineering institutions. My primary research interest includes nature-inspired optimization algorithm and their application to signal, image processing.

Sarah Ostadabbas joined Northeastern University, Electrical and Computer Engineering Department in September 2016 as an Assistant Professor from Georgia Tech, where she was a post-doctoral researcher following completion of her PhD at the University of Texas at Dallas in 2014. My name is Robin T. Bye and I am an associate professor in automation engineering and head of the Cyber-Physical Systems Laboratory at NTNU in Ålesund. I am also an affiliated scientist at NTNU AMOS. Apart from teaching automation and computer engineering classes at both the bachelor and master level on topics such as artificial intelligence, cybernetics, microcontrollers, and intelligent systems, I also supervise PhD, master, and bachelor students on their thesis topics. My main research interests belong to areas such as intelligent control engineering, virtual prototyping, computational modelling and simulation of human movements, and dynamic resource allocation and operations research, as well as research in teaching and education. My current focus is mainly on autonomous ships and orthopaedic surgery simulators.
