Hitex AURIX Target for Simulink

Infineon’s AURIX™ family of microcontrollers serves the precise needs of the automotive industry in terms of performance and safety. The innovative multicore architecture, based on up to six independent 32-bit TriCore™ CPUs, has been designed to meet the highest safety standards while simultaneously increasing performance significantly. Using the AURIX platform, automotive developers can control powertrain (including hybrid and electrical vehicles) and safety applications (such as steering, braking, airbag, and advanced driver assistance systems) with a single MCU platform. Developing on AURIX can reduce MCU safety development time by 30% while maintaining power consumption of a single-core microcontroller and leveraging a performance surplus of 50–100% for more functionality now and in the future. AURIX also protects IP and prevents theft and fraud through a built-in hardware security module.

Hitex’s ShieldBuddy TC275/TC375 is currently one of the world’s smallest AURIX development boards. It is fitted with the Infineon TC275/TC375 32-bit multicore processor on a board following the Arduino™ standard. Evaluation licenses for a complete set of development tools (compiler and debugger) are available, which makes this kit ideal for getting started on a high-end real-time embedded industrial or automotive application as well as for students and hobbyists. Selected board features include:

• Low cost AURIX TC275/TC375 board for professional and hobby use
• Safety option with onboard CIC61508/TLF35584 safety monitor for use with SafeTlib/SafeTPack
• Direct USB and DAP debug interfaces, USB, or 9-12V power supply
• Development tools available, including HighTec Free AURIX Toolchain or Infineon AURIX Development Studio

The Hitex AURIX™ Target for Simulink^® provides a Simulink target supporting the AURIX MCU family. The target allows developers to visually connect their models to the AURIX hardware peripherals and automatically generate code that can be compiled and run on the target. Engineers can easily reuse and port existing control algorithm models to AURIX without the need for major source code rework. Multicore operation is also supported to leverage the full power of the AURIX MCU. Hitex is also able to develop customized targets, as well as provide a Simulink PIL target for the AURIX MCU.
