Description
The SimCar system is designed for hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulation testing of electronic control units (ECUs), assessing their functionality, system integration, and communication. The system is suitable for use in the automotive, aerospace, defense, and heavy machinery sectors.
This system is used by software developers working on vehicle control strategies and by engineers developing ECU systems. The system supports various vehicle-related control systems, such as engine management, transmission control, alternative energy vehicle systems, battery management, motor control, hydrogen fuel cell engine management, chassis electronics, central gateway domain control, and driver-assistance domain controllers.
SimCar is a high-performance PXI® real-time simulation hardware platform that works with the NI® LabVIEW/VeriStand software platform. The user’s controlled system is modeled and simulated in Simulink®, which then runs on the hardware-in-the-loop test system in real-time with the closed-loop control of the controller. Complex testing of automobile electronic control units is implemented throughout this overall system.
