A Low Cost 5G Testbed Development for Futuristic 6G Cellular Standard

The demand for wireless connectivity has grown exponentially over the last few decades. Fifth generation (5G) communications systems are being tested and will soon be deployed worldwide. We are progressing towards 6G ecosystems that will support more ambitious scenarios and use cases for smart buildings, connected vehicles, satellite communications, digital healthcare, and many more applications. There are several challenges associated with the underlying technologies and architectural changes of these envisioned 6G networks.
In this talk, we present how we used the Model-Based Design approach with MATLAB®, Simulink®, and other related toolboxes to develop an end-to-end system design for the 5G test bed which is flexible to incorporate 6G capabilities.
