Model-Based Design for Machine Builders with Simulink

Vincent Theunynck, Vintecc

In this live webinar the Belgian consulting firm Vintecc will explain how they used Simulink and Model-Based Design to develop, test and implement a control system for a complex multi-axles beet harvesting machine including:

  • Powertrain
  • Collector
  • All Mechanical and Hydraulic components

After this session you will have a clear view on how you can:

  • Use Model-Based Design to develop controller and plant models
  • Verify designs with MIL and HIL simulations
  • Automatically generate code for PLCs or other embedded systems (C/C++ or IEC 61131-3 Structured Text)
  • Integrate and deploy in a standard Codesys environment.

In the Q&A session at the end you can ask questions to Vintecc and MathWorks.

About the Presenter

Vincent Theunynck is a model-based control design engineer and managing partner of Vintecc. He focuses on mechatronic system development, from plant modeling to model-based control design and code generation. Having headed the development of several applications from prototype to commercial products using Model-Based Design, he left CNHi product development to found Vintecc. Vincent holds a M.Sc. degree in mechatronic engineering from Ghent University (Belgium) and an MBA from the Vlerick Management School (Belgium).
