MATLAB and Simulink Seminars

Advanced Control Design Using Simulink

Overview

An accurate design of feedback control systems is crucial for the correct functioning of complex processes as well as systems. Simulink, utilizing specific tools and functionalities, enables the control engineer to analyze a plant or a model of interest, to design the control scheme more suitable for its regulation, and to optimize the response of the overall closed-loop system. In this event, we will explore how to use apps tools and features, sometimes overlooked, by analyzing use cases and providing directions for an efficient design of feedback control strategies in Simulink.

Highlights

  • Analysis of plant models using linearization and trimming
  • Frequency-based PID tuning
  • Tuning multiloop controllers
  • Using optimization for desired responses
