All Products: Search Unavailable for Installed Documentation

Description: The search feature of documentation does not function when using the installed version of the documentation.

Workaround: Use web documentation.

MATLAB: Unable to Select Some File Dialogs on macOS

Description: In macOS, the file selection dialog for some features including, but not limited to, App Designer, SimBiology, Signal Analyzer, and Biopipeline Designer will not allow selection of any files. The files will appear in the file dialog but will be disabled or “grayed out”. The files will be unelectable even if “All Files” is selected in the “more options” section of the file dialog.

Workaround: If the feature allows specifying a file name as an argument to the function, for example “appdesigner(‘app1.mlapp’)”, that may be used to open files.

C2000 Microcontroller Blockset: Incorrect MCAN Transmit and Receive Data on C28x Core

Description: When using MCAN transmit and receive blocks in the C28x core, the values received and transmitted are incorrect due to incorrect clock parameter settings and incorrect memory map addresses for the FIFO and buffer.

Workaround: None

Instrument Control Toolbox: ividev Interface and Instrument Explorer App Unavailable

Description: Theividev interface and Instrument Explorer app cannot be used due to an issue with the Instrument Control Toolbox Support Package for IVI and VXIplug&play Drivers that is required to use these functionalities.

The following error appears when creating an ividev object or connecting to an instrument within the Instrument Explorer app.

'Invalid or incompatible interface library, possibly created in a newer version of MATLAB. Rebuild the interface library for the current version.'

Workaround: None

MATLAB Compiler SDK: Generated Java Package Segfaults During Shutdown on Apple Silicon Machines

Description: On Apple Silicon, executing a Java Package built using the MATLAB Compiler SDK will segfault during process shutdown, resulting in a stack trace being output to the Command Window. There is no evidence that the segfault affects the execution of the user’s program.

Workaround: To work around this issue, you can specify the out-of-process option in your apps before any other MATLAB API is used with the following statement:

`MWApplication.initializeApplication(MWMCROption.OUTPROC);`

Polyspace Products: Generate a Report Fails for Some Templates

Description: Generating Polyspace Reports containing graphics results in an error.

Workaround: Use the Developer and Bug Finder reports.

Polyspace Server Products: Issue When Running a Batch Analysis 

Description: The commands polyspace-bug-finder-server and polyspace-code-prover-server use graphical login/password UIs instead of asking for credentials on the command line.

Workaround: Enter credentials graphically and when prompted select “Save forever”.

Refactor To Simplify Bus Element Blocks: Fix During Edit Time

Description: The fix during the edit-time does not work as expected for model advisor “Refactor To Simplify Bus Element Blocks” check.

Workaround: Please select the “Refactor To Simplify Bus Element Blocks” check in Model advisor. Click on “Run” to run the check. And then click on “Fix” to fix all the recommended actions.

Simscape Products and RF Blockset: Help Buttons in Block Dialogs Do Not Work

Description: If you click the Help button for a block from a Simscape product (such as Simscape Electrical, Simscape Fluids, or Simscape Multibody), you get the error message "String is not terminated correctly".  If you click the Help button for a block from RF Blockset, you get the error message "Character vector is not terminated correctly".

Workaround: Open the documentation at www.mathworks.com and search for the name of the block.

Simscape Multibody: Block Dialogs Do Not Open

Description: On all platforms, when you double click on a Simscape Multibody block to open the dialog, the following error is seen and the dialog does not open.

'OpenFcn' callback: Unable to resolve the name "simmechanics.util.createSettting'

Workaround: Download a new file and replace the following: MATLABROOT\toolbox\physmod\sm\sli\m\dialog\+simmechanics\+sli\+internalblock_dialog.p

Deep Learning Toolbox Model Quantization Library: Issues with Icons when Using Analyze for Compression’ Tool

Description: When using the Deep Network Designer app and “Analyze for Compression” tool, icons are not displayed correctly in the report. In some instances, no icons are displayed at all and in other instances icons are too large.

Workaround: None.
