how to cal a function from another function in matlab gui????

I am trying to write a program in matlab gui. I want to call a function while i am in a function how can i call that function please reply me. thank you in advance

do you mean calling function x() inside itself. or calling it within some function y(). Please reframe your Question clearly.

calling function with in a function. and also need the value which returned by the call function to the main function. who can i get the returned function. please inform me. thank you in advance.

Any time you want to call the function, you just type that function name with the right input and output arguments, right. Even in the code developed with GUIDE, every callback function still has function name with input arguments. The name may sound strange but you can still call that function.
