Hi!

I have a folder containing multiple excel sheets . I want to do same following things on each sheet:

1. Add the sheet number (for e.g. 2, 3 , 4 etc..) as participation id in the sheet in separate column.

2. sort the sheets according to rows.

I have a very basic question i.e. how to work on multiple sheets at the same time?

Hi avantika, any reason your doing it in matlab? As you mention you've already got the data in excel I would have thought that was an excel specialty..

In matlab I would take a look at the import data tool. Its excellent. It even generates script/functions for you!

Alternatively

help xlsread

Once its all in a .mat file/s sorting the data should be a very simple task (depending exactly what your sort criteria is)
