normal distribution random variables

hello, i had asked something similar but this is a new problem and i am not understanding the logic.

here is the new problem.

Generate two squeences , of length 1000, of normally distributed random variables [X ] and [Y ]
                                                                                    N        N
with the following properties:
_
X =100        sigma = 3
_                  X 
Y =200        sigma = 4
                   Y
                 _
Find numerically Z and sigma , if Z = X  + Y
                            Z      N   N    N

It is probably harder to understand as i am only in calculus 2 but i do understand the notations from looking them up which is just the mean value and standard deviation.
