Internal Combustion Engine Simulink Model

Hello everybody,
I am a student at the University and i have to create a simulink model of an Internal Combustion Engine to be part of a hybrid vehicle.
Could anybody help me by giving an example of an ICE or more information about this issue??
I have already found that demo : http://www.mathworks.nl/products/simulink/examples.html?file=/products/demos/shipping/simulink/sldemo_engine.html
but is too complicated for me. It would be better to start with a simple demo and then to move on in difficult models. Where can i find simple examples of an ICE??
