xPC Target Explorer Error: Attempting to access the property or method of an invalid object

When I use xPC target explorer to connect the xPC target,it always returned the following errors: Attempting to access the property or method of an invalid object; Then I run "xpctest" in MATLAB command window,it stoped with the following information: ### xPC Target v5.2 Test Suite ### Host-Target interface is: RS-232 on COM2 ### Test 1, Ping target PC 'TargetPC1' using system ping: ... SKIPPED ### Test 2, Ping target PC 'TargetPC1' using xpctargetping: ...Error using xpctest (line 334) error calling xpctargetping I used RS232 to connect the host and target,what's wrong with the xPC target? Thank you in advance for any tips or help!

There may be an issue with your RS232 setup. Are you sure you are using a NULL Modem cable? Without this, you won't be able to connect to the target.
