Converting images into audio (MIDI/AVI)

I'm doing project in music OCR i.e. converting sheet music into its corresponding audio format (MIDI or AVI). Is it possible to do this project in MATLAB? If yes then which MATLAB product and version should I use?

Hi Shradda,

This is possible with MATLAB however there is no quick solution.

You can use the Image processing toolbox for character recognition. If you are not familiar with using MATLAB for OCR, Steve Eddins blog is a good resource : http://blogs.mathworks.com/steve/

Once you get the OCR part down, you could use functions such as AUWRITE or WAVEWRITE
