Getting started EV3 SLX projects

Hi there, Very new to Simulink. Got my EV3 + Simulink for Christmas. Problem is all of the SLX demo projects are for NXT 2.0 Can you share any links to Simulink models that are for EV3. Need a real basic one - like push button see something happen. Right now really stuck at establishing ANY communication. Btw. All works totally fine from LabView. From Matlab prompt I can also run Bluetooth('MyLegoBrickName', 1 ) - and the brick gets recognized.
So basically - any starting EV3 tips for a novice would be great. Many thanks
