Have you tried partitioning your large model using model reference blocks? In this way, the referenced models are built separately and automatically linked with the parent model. Furthermore, if a referenced model has not changed since the last build, you can configure things so that it will not be rebuilt, accelerating the build time. There's some more information in the documentation here: Generate and reuse code for referenced models There are some limitations to using model references - the component needs to be an atomic subsystem for instance. This is a standard approach to generating code from large models, and can be done for any target using Simulink Coder.
