how to obtain square of a signal?

I have the data obtained from a power quality analyzer. It is the value of current and is a row vector.I can generate the current waveform using plot function. Now i want to obtain the square of current for calculating torque.

I want to know whether element wise multiplication is a correct approach for calculating its square.I tried using PS product block in simulink. But it accepts only one value and not a vector.
