I'm getting strange numbers, everything is 27.0000 or something fla tlike that. Here is what I am supposed to do: http://i.imgur.com/BsCjNvR.png

Here is my code:

if ~(a == 0 && x == 0)
      while (error >= 0.000001)
          result = (((x * log(a))^k) / factorial(k))+ result;
          error =  (((x * log(a))^k+1) / factorial(k+1));
          k = k + 1;
      end
  else 
      result = 0;
  end
  end
