Why Edit Plot Mode doesn't work in matlab Com

I use comtool of matlab 6.5 release a dll that create a figure. But the figure toolbar didn't include Edit Plot toolbars and the call to editplot on function didn't work as matlab's command line. How to reslove the problem? Thank you.
