If it's an image, that is most likely the height and width in pixels of a square window that slides across (scans) your image. Generally larger windows have larger effects and operate over larger areas. They give slowly varying results and are good for finding slowly varying image features. Small windows have effects that change fairly quickly and are good for finding small features in images.
Window size or length

I came about a program that in order to set the window size, it mentions that as follows for instance:
window_size = 20;
What does 20 represent here? What should I look for in my image for instance to set such value? Maybe this is length rather than size? But, also, how is it measured?
Thanks.
