Is there any configuration management tool available to manage matlab software.I am specifically looking for check in, check out, version contolling type of operations. need help and guidance !

Have a look at this similar question. MATLAB has an interface to any source control software that conforms to the Microsoft Common Source Control standard, Version 1.1, but as I said in this other question, I prefer to perform version control / configuration management operations outside of MATLAB. For more details, see Source Control Interface in the documentation.
