How to save big plot in .png

Hi
I have a small problem with saving a plot. I have plotted some images with subplot method of Matlab in one plot. There are 25 images in a grid. If I'm saving it as .fig it works but the file is really big. But if I'm saving it as a .png the .png does not contain the images.
How can I get a .png with the images in it but compressed?
The code is as follows:
figure('Name','test','NumberTitle','off');
iteration = 1;
m = length(images);
for i = 1:length(images)
subplot(25, 25, i);
imshow(images{i});
title('test');
iteration = iteration + 1;
end
images is a cell array of images.

Yes, I'm not surprised it's always the number one downloaded File Exchange submission.
