Parameter estimation for a dynamic nonlinear differential equation model

I have a dynamic model with 10 different variables varying with time. I have theoretical differential equations for all the variables but the constants/parameters in the model are unknown. I have a data of values of 4 out of 10 variables at 5 different time points. I have to fit this data with the model. What MATLAB function/tool should I use to get the parameters of this model?

See if the situation and answer described in Monod kinetics and curve fitting matches what you want. It estimates parameters in a differential equation system by integrating the differential equation and using one of the curve-fitting functions (here lsqcurvefit) to fit the integrated differential equation to data.
