Basic question regarding S function

Hello all
I wrote a matlab level 2 S function,which in its ouput block calling the matlab function,now in that function some data is read from the xls sheets. Now at every simulation iteration the same data is being read again and again thus increasing the simulation time. Can anyone suggest me how can i use the data during my whole simulation and it should be read only once so that my simulation time can improve.
Please Guide

Hi Sameer,
the easist would be to use a parameter for the S-Function, read the xls file in MATLAB and pass the data as parameter.
Alternatively, if you read from the Excel-File "only numbers", take a look at the doc for how to "store" data within an S-function.
