mcc - include shared library search paths for cpplib build of .so?

I cannot use LD_LIBRARY_PATH in my end use application which is linking in the Matlab Compiler .so output. How do I add the search path to the mcc generated shared library with the mcc command? I can't find a reference to this in the docs. I'm using 2008 as I need to match it up to my Linux gcc version.

Thanks in advance for any tips.

Could you explain why you cannot use LD_LIBRARY_PATH? The only other way might be to have all required shared object files to be in the same directory as the end-use application. Have you tried this?
