I'm encountering a really obnoxious issue previously posted on the Matlab answers board here:

Where trying to use the property inspector in GUIDE R2013a causes the program to hang on line 99 of SceneViewerListener.m
I think I can fix the problem by editing the SceneViewerListner internal file as described here:
http://undocumentedmatlab.com/blog/couple-of-bugs-and-workarounds
But the file is locked; it has remained fairly stubborn in response to my attempts at editing it.
Does anyone have a solution? I'm obviously open to alternatives to the method described above… But having Matlab enter debug mode every time I want to edit something in the property inspector is really slowing me down.

Run MATLAB as an Administrator (right click run as admin on Windows).
