Features selection based on mutual information

Hi everybody i have to write a method in matlab for features selection based on mutual information criterion and test in on a classifier..but i'm novice in matlab language and i don't know where to start..can you suggest me how to do?there are specific tutorials i can follow to do this?any advice is appreciated Thank you
