i have created a gui. i need to enter a number in edit text.i need to get the value of this variable into the gui function.

Kindly look into the code to get the data into the GUI and to save that data in the database
studNmae = get(handles.nameEdit,'string');
studNumber = get(handles.numberEdit,'string');
save data.mat studNmae studNumber
